Tachoblog’s View From The Cab – 30.9.11
Time for our second View From The Cab for this week, your chance to, once again, look through the windscreens of the Tachoblog Tribe.
Yes, thanks to Tachoblog only bringing you the last View From The Cab on Tuesday you’re getting a double helping this week. Hopefully this makes up for you missing out last week.
We start this View From The Cab in New Zealand where we join Vic H who has sent ‘something a bit different, here are a few photos of some kekeno, or New Zealand fur seals’…
…’Which can be seen from the road along the top part of the east coast of the South Island. They haul themselves out of the sea to rest on the rocky shore in places like this where there are rock pools and crevices for them to cool off when they get too hot from lying in the sun’…

…’I admit that I had to get out of the truck to take these photos, but they can be seen while driving past so I think count as “View from the Cab”‘ And so do we Vic!…
…’Then back at a winery in Auckland this morning while I was waiting to be unloaded’…
…’I couldn’t resist these shots of the sky over the mist-covered vineyard’. We can see why too Vic!
Randy Nose was somewhere (hopefully he’ll comment and tell us where) and said, ‘short runs like this one will be a thing of the past’.
Al Goodhall was ‘heading towards home. EB on I94 in SW Michigan. A foggy sunrise’.
It’s obviously fog week on View From The Cab as Surfingtrucker sent us this View from ‘outside Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania’…
…But it was ‘clear this morning in New York crossing The Tappan-Zee Bridge’.
That’s all from View From the Cab for this week. Tachoblog’s thanks to the Tachoblog Tribe for sending in their Views.
If you’re a truck driver and would like to join in with View From The Cab then you are most welcome to.
All you have to do is email your Views to vftc@tachoblog.com or send a tweet starting #vftc to @tachoblog, or post them on Tachoblog’s Facebook Wall. Please remember include a line or two of text that says, if nothing else, where the picture was taken.
Whether you’re a driver or not, you can join in (and win prizes too) with Summer Trucking, our new photographic competition. But you’ll have to be quick, today is the last day for entries.
You can vote on your favourite until the end of October though!
Have a look at our Summer Trucking page for full details.
