This week’s View From The Cab – where we look through the Tachoblog Tribe’s windscreens – is tinged with a little sadness and some good wishes.

View From The Cab Logo33 427x62As you’ll read one of the Tachoblog Tribe is leaving driving and whilst we’re sorry to see him go we wish him all the best for the future.

In fact we aptly start View From The Cab with him as we join RandyNose…’In Buffalo, New York.  Not surprisingly, these two things are found around the same spot’….

…’I think they’re about the same age’…

Now click below for more from RandyNose and the rest of View From The Cab…

…’On my way to Buffalo Bulk trailer wash, I had to wait for this truck to put his 53′ trailer in a dock that looks like it was made for something about half it’s size.  He made it, though his cab sits in the middle of the street when he is done’…

…’While at the wash bay, they were transferring fuel from a truck that is legally road worthy to the old General that seems to be held together with duct tape and rust’…

RandyNose Buffalo 4 427x255

…’Waiting to get loaded while in Lakeville, New York. Sun is setting.

RandyNose Lakeville New York 5 427x255

‘This should be my last load out of here, as Friday is my last day on the road behind the wheel of a Semi’…

…’ Last day, truck cleaned out.   No run for today. (at Pierre’s Parking Lot)

RandyNose The Final 427x255

‘Trucking has been good to me, over the past 12 years, but it’s a industry that can wear you out.

‘I had only intended to “truck” for a year or two. I figure that I’ve traveled about 1,684,800 over those 12 years, give or take a few thousand. Worked for a few scoundrels, been a scoundrel, and more or less learned a few things along the way’.

RandyNose, good luck with the future and we hope you’ll still send in a View From The Cab on the odd occasion.

Finally for this week’s View From The Can we hitch a ride with Darkstaff.  He could see  ‘this beautiful sunrise in Altoona, Pennsylvania. My first destination in a short term job I’m driving’…
