Yes it’s time to join Tachoblog as we take our weekly View From The Cab and see what the Tachoblog Tribe have seen through their windscreens this week.
We have a rather special View From The Cab this week.
As well as welcoming a new member of the Tachoblog Tribe, there’s also a View from Tachoblog too!
You’re all now obviously very excited, so we won’t make you wait any longer.
We begin in America where we join LakewoodLoon who was ‘parked at Pilot, (Marengo, Ohio) eating a French Dip Sandwich’ [If, like Tachoblog, you don't know what a French Dip Sandwich is, LakewoodLoon kindly explained it as 'thinly sliced roast beef on a "French roll" or baguette. served au jus (Beef Broth)']…
…Next he sent this View of a ‘lonely Male Mallard duck. Hangs out at the customers crud pond in Mason, Ohio’…
…In case (like Tachoblog) you couldn’t see the duck, LakewoodLoon has also kindly sent this close-up.
Now click below for the rest of this week’s Views…
In Sweden Bergmanman could see this ‘truck being towed from the ditch by a mobile crane’. [As usual, Tachoblog hopes that nobody was injured].
New Zealand now where we meet up with Vic H who ‘had a trip to Gisborne early this week, Gisborne is the most easterly city in the world and so is the first to see the sunrise each day.
‘The road to Gisborne goes through the Waioeka Gorge and the road follows the Waioeka River between the hills for about 50km’…
…’It is a very winding road with most of the corners being marked at speeds between 35km/h and 65km/h’…
…’The next day I was back in Auckland, which was hit by a tornado at about 3.30pm. I was on the other side of the city and didn’t see it, but the violent weather brought this rainbow so I had to take some photos from the cab’.
Now we welcome Niall_Yeldham to the Tachoblog Tribe. We’re particularly pleased that Niall’s joined us as he’s from the UK! He spotted this on his ‘recycling round, in Formby, Merseyside’.
We’ll stay in the UK as we present Tachoblog’s View of the M25 where it’s joined by the M1 in Hertfordshire. If you’re wondering about the effects on the picture, then we have TJ to thank for tipping us off about an app for the iPhone called Hipstamatic. You can see how TJ uses it by looking at her pictures of a Kenworth in Germany.
Lastly for this week we go back to the USA where Amishtrucker was ‘driving through Cedar Creek, Texas on TX 21 early morning’.
Tachoblog would like to thank the Tachoblog Tribe for sending us their Views and also remind you that if you’d like to join the Tachoblog Tribe and View From The Cab, then you’re more than welcome.
All you have to do is email your Views to firstname.lastname@example.org or send a tweet starting #vftc to @tachoblog, or post them on Tachoblog’s Facebook Wall. Please remember include a line or two of text that says, if nothing else, where the picture (or video!) was taken.
