It’s been away for far, far too long but today Tachoblog’s back with View From The Cab – our look through the Tachoblog Tribe’s windscreens.

And it’s fitting that with View From The Cab back for the first time in ages, the first View comes from a member of the Tachoblog Tribe who we haven’t had a View from in ages …

TruckerDesiree (and Karma the Wonderdog) are ‘Back on the road’ and sent this from Bloomington ,Indiana …

… Now TruckerDesiree is leaving TA Travel Centers, Ontario to make a delivery.

Amishtrucker was southbound on the Tivola road going under US77 south of Victoria, Texas.  He says that ‘Clouds are bringing some scattered rain’.

Sticking with clouds we head to New Zealand and catch up with Vic H.  He sent us a few cloudy photos taken on the way back to Auckland along State Highway 27 between the Hinuera crossroads and Kaihere …

… He also sent us these – which just missed the last View From The Cab all those weeks ago.  These were taken in April which, ‘in New Zealand is the middle of Autumn (Fall to the North American members of the Tachoblog Tribe) so I thought a few photos of the NZ Autumn colours would be in order.

‘NZ actually has almost no native deciduous trees, in fact only three that I can think of: kotukutuku, houhere and kowhai and even then some varieties of kowhai are only semi-deciduous’ …

… ‘This means that generally we don’t see much of the autumn colours here at all as almost all the native trees and the plantation pine forests stay green all year; however there are patches around the country where the early British settlers planted trees to remind themselves of home like poplars, willows, plane trees etc as seen here.

‘The top two photos were taken in the Hundalee hills in the top half of the South Island and the bottom two were taken between Taihape and Utiku in the central North Island’.

And that’s it for this week’s View From The Cab.

Our thanks to the Tachoblog Tribe for sending in their Views.
