Tachoblog’s View From The Cab – 21.4.11
With the Easter break looming, this week’s View From The Cab – our weekly look at the world through the windscreens of the Tachoblog Tribe – is a day earlier than usual.
Thankfully the Tachoblog Tribe have accomodated this loss of 24 hours and have sent in their Views as normal – we even have another video for you too!
We start this week with the welcome return of Rainerri1967. His first View comes from when he was taking ‘a rest at Taunusblick, Frankfurt am Main’ [somewhere that Tachoblog knows well] in Germany…
…He’s been on his travels this week as his second picture is from Amsterdam Airport where he noticed this ‘nice plane parking’…
Now click below for one more from Rainerri1967 and the rest of this week’s Views…
…Rainerri1967′s last View is from Venlo and shows the ‘traffictruck in Holland’.
From Canada Al_Goodhall sent in this View remarking ‘so much for spring in northern Ontario’…
…The he says that ‘the view of White River wasn’t much better out of my drivers side window’…
…As he headed ‘towards Thunder Bay ‘the roads improved steadily but still not my idea of spring!’…
…’Up near Terrace Bay it was a tough morning for this trucker’…
…’In rural Manitoba. Heading for a drop at the hutterite colony’…
…Now he has ‘arrived at the colony. Near McGregor, Manitoba’…
…Finally he’s ‘up an at em’ and heading back to Winnipeg’.
Another member of the Tachoblog Tribe who has (once again) been on a marathon run is Darkstaff. He ‘started the week in Dallas, Texas heading to Saskatchewan, Canada…
…Here he is ‘rolling through Sioux City, Iowa along I-29′…
…And he sent aVideo too! This is of ‘Flooding in North Dakota, along US52′…
…’Taking a break at a truck stop in Estevan, Saskatchewan’…
…And finally from Darkstaff, ‘rolling down route 35 south of Weyburn, Saskatchewan towards North Dakota’.
In Sweden, Bergmanman had ‘finished unloading the trailer. Dismounted and backed up with the truck to unload the rest’…
…He also sent what he describes as ‘not so much of a View From The Cab but still, here’s the cranes i’m hauling’.
Back in America LakewoodLoon sent this View of ‘grape vines along Hwy 5, Brocton, New York. There’s a lot of vinyards in this area of New York’…
…’Still on Highway 5 in Brocton this ‘oncoming car had no lights OR brain on in the rain’.
Finally for this week’s View From The Cab we join Heydriver and Goldie with this ‘view from the cab of Goldie. North bound on I-95 in Richmond, Virginia. Old vs New? High rise building on the left and old railroad terminal on the right. Bright sunshine and all the time in the world’.
Before we go, Tachoblog would like to thank the Tachoblog Tribe for sending in their Views and also remind you that if you’d like to join the Tachoblog Tribe and VFTC, you’re more than welcome.
All you have to do is email your Views to vftc@tachoblog.com or send a tweet starting #vftc to @tachoblog, or post them on Tachoblog’s Facebook Wall. Please remember include a line or two of text that says, if nothing else, where the picture (or video!) was taken.
Other than wishing you a Happy Easter, that’s it from Tachoblog. We’ll see you again next Tuesday when we’ll be only days away from that wedding!
