Tachoblog’s View From The Cab – 1.7.11
Yes, it’s time for this week’s View From The Cab where we take a look through the windscreens of the Tachoblog Tribe.
Before we get into this week’s View From The Cab, Tachoblog would like to remind you about Summer Trucking, our new photographic competition. There are some great prizes up for grabs and if you like View From The Cab but don’t drive a truck, you can still enter Summer Trucking!
Also, would you like to join the Tachoblog Tribe and View From The Cab? If you would then you’re more than welcome.
All you have to do is email your Views to vftc@tachoblog.com or send a tweet starting #vftc to @tachoblog, or post them on Tachoblog’s Facebook Wall. Please remember include a line or two of text that says, if nothing else, where the picture (or video!) was taken.
Now, let’s get on with View From The Cab.
We start this week by joining RandyNose who was ‘Sitting on scales [he means his truck we hope!], prior to delivery. In Newark, Ohio…
Now click below for more from RandyBNose and the rest of this week’s View From The Cab…
…’And this is the View From The Cab when I was unloading there – with a very Rusty Water tank too’.
Amishtrucker sent us this View of ‘sunrise and traffic on US59 near Pierce, Texas’.
From New Zealand, Vic H said that he ‘didn’t really get any interesting photos this week, but one of the other drivers in our company invited me to put a few of his photos on View From The Cab so these photos are from Guy H, not Vic H’
[Here is Guy H and Tachoblog would like to welcome him into the Tachoblog Tribe.]
Vic says that ‘Guy has been on loan to Orica, a chemical company, for the past 8 months, driving one of our tractor units and towing one of Orica’s B-Train tankers’…
…’His principal run has been from Timaru, on the East coast of the South Island, across the Southern Alps via Arthur’s Pass to the West coast’…
…’It’s an interesting road which I never drive on myself so we thought it was a good opportunity to show the Tribe another part of NZ’…
…’These photos were all taken in the Arthur’s Pass part of the road’.
Back in America DriverGeoff sent us this great View from I-80 on the salt flats in Utah
And that’s all for this week’s View From The Cab.
Tachoblog would like to thank the Tachoblog Tribe for sending in their Views and we hope we’ll be seeing more from our newest member Guy H too.
Finally – and before we sign off – what do you think of the View From The Cab logo that RandyNose created for us?
We’re not asking ‘do you like it’ – but you’re welcome to tell us.
What Tachoblog would like to know is does using the logo between each member of the Tachoblog Tribe in View From The Cab make the post easier to read?
Answers on a postcard please – although a comment will do just as well.

I think it enhances a very good part of Tachoblog, well done to RandyNose.
