So after View From The CV Show, we’re back to normal with this week’s View From The Cab.

Once again the Tachoblog Tribe have kindly sent in pictures of what they can see through their windscreens.  And for that we are very grateful.

So join us as we go to Sweden, America, Canada, New Zealand and Germany to see what they’ve seen.

We start in Sweden and join Bergmanman as he gets ‘off RV80 and on to E4 heading north to Söderhamn’…

LakewoodLoon says ‘he’s [that's not LakewoodLoon] got soggy wood. Dunno if its worth hollerin’ about. Like a limp noodle – Jeffersonville, Ohio. I think’…

…This is him in ‘Mason, Ohio leaving customer’…

…Of this vew he says that he ‘sometimes imagine monster Teletubbies jumping over the grassy knoll and attacking’.

Darkstaff’s not had a good week, or as he put it ‘Some weeks are better than others. Sitting at the Kenworth dealer for repairs in Dallas, Texas’.

Staying in Texas, Amishtrucker is showing us an ‘old place, food pretty good. Corpus Christi Truck Stop and Restaurant’.

From Canada, Al_Goodhall sent this View of ‘The Morris river as I approach Morris, Manitoba. Flood waters continue to rise. Detour next week?’…

Now we head to New Zealand to meet Vic H who has ‘just got home after 6 days away, another 2 trips with grape juice from Waipara to Auckland, that’s the end of that job for another year now’…

Coast11 427x320

…’The first 2 photos were taken heading south along the Kaikoura coast, where the railway follows the highway for  a long time’…

Coast21 427x320

…’I parked up in the truck park of the Lobster Inn in Kaikoura, where I was to spend the night, next to this Mercedes flour tanker. I thought this showed the quite dramatic difference in the way the Americans and the Europeans design trucks. Both the Merc and the International gross at 44 tonnes, have about the same power but look completely different’…

…’On the way home, as I pulled into the Shell truck stop in Levin I saw this old Atkinson parked up. It was pitch dark at 4am and was just lit by my headlights. This brought back some memories as I used to drive this model Atkinson in the late 60s, although the ones I drove were fitted with Cummins 250 engines unlike the Gardner 150 this one had’.

Finally we’re off to Germany from where the newest member of the Tachoblog Tribe, Giesela Birgit, has sent this View OF cabs.  Really shows just how big some of these ships are!

If you’d like to join the Tachoblog Tribe and VFTC, you’re more than welcome.

All you have to do is email your Views to vftc@tachoblog.com or send a tweet starting #vftc to @tachoblog, or post them on Tachoblog’s Facebook Wall.   Please remember include a line or two of text that says, if nothing else, where the picture (or video!) was taken.

That’s all from Tachoblog for this week.  See you all again on Monday.
