Tachoblog’s View From The Cab – 8.5.09
Hard to believe I know (well it is for Tachoblog at any rate) but here we are on Friday again and that means it’s View From The Cab time again.
No need for any explanation, I’m sure you all know the drill by now, so let’s get started with this week’s selection…
The first, as often the case, comes from ourselves with Tachoblog joining the newly reclassified A414 (was, until 1.5.09 the M10) towards St. Albans in Hertfordshire, England…
And this is the roundabout at the other end.
Jumping ‘over the pond’ to the United States, we find the Great Canadian Pumpkin not in Canada but having his ‘first time in Louisianna. Heading east on the I-10. This section of the I-10 goes through some Louisiana swampland and eighteen miles of the I-10 is all bridge’.
Amishtrucker was ‘driving through the downtown area of a little southern ranching/railroad town, Yoakum, Texas’.
Whilst TRKMN48 was on I-88 West in New York.
Back in Europe and Rainerri1967 notes that it’s ‘Mosquito time, Summer is near’ whilst he was Somewhere near the German – Swiss Border.
Back over to the US we go, where TruckDriversNews spotted this trailer with loads of axles on the I-75 in Michigan…
…And then spotted an Ohio DOT SUV behind a truck on RT. 2 near Port Clinton, OH.
TruckerDesiree and Karma had a restful night in this accomadating shopping center parking lot in Trussville Alabama…
…Where TruckerDesiree got her coffee and Karma a sausage patty…
…As we’ve mentioned Karma, Tachoblog would ask those of you that haven’t already read yesterday’s post ‘Improve Your Karma By Helping Karma‘ to have a look and see if you can help the only canine member of the Tachoblog Tribe.
TheNose100 had stopped to get Fuel at Petro [it's a truckstop!] in Perrysburg, Ohio.
Meanwhile, SurfingTruckersaw this ‘beautiful sunrise’ in Tewksberry, Massachusetts…
…And was then on 495 South in Berlin, Massachusetts.
Heydriver and Goldie greeted us with ‘Arise!’ from US Rte 460 E. Shawsville Virginia.
Before arriving at KiK with a surprised ‘Look at that! No waiting.
’ in Salem Virginia.
Emailokc was in West Memphis, Arkansas at the Petro [it's a truckstop] and asks, ‘You think he backed in close enough?’ before saying he ‘laid on the horn to get him to stop!’
And that’s your lot for this week!
Tachoblog’s thanks to everyone that sent in a picture. If you want to be in next week’s View From The Cab then please email it to vftc@tachoblog.com next Friday.
