Friday again so it must be time for this week’s View From The Cab.  Several of the usual suspects are in evidence this week as well as a few members of the Tachoblog Tribe that we haven’t seen for a little while – and it’s always good to catch up with them again.

Before we open up our window on the world, Tachoblog would like to than everyone that’s sent in a View, we’re always really grateful for them.

If you’d like to join in with View From The Cab then you’ll be most welcome.  All you have to do is email your Views to vftc@tachoblog.com or send a tweet starting #vftc to @tachoblog, or post them on Tachoblog’s Facebook Wall. Don’t forget to include a line or two of text that says, if nothing else, where the picture was taken.

Now let’s get started.  We being this week with LittleTrucker who sent in a rather arty View which she says was taken when she was ‘getting an early start to my day’…

…’Like old times, I took a little trip through The City today…looking out over Lower Manhattan.’

Over in New Zealand, Vic H was ‘On State Highway 1 near the top of the South Island they are doing some major road works on a mountain pass known as “The Lion’s Back” and a big cutting is being temporarily crossed by a pair of Bailey Bridges.’  Is it just Tachoblog or does this look like it’s not real but a model?…

…’With a gross weight of 45 tonnes the bridges look a bit dodgy and they creak and groan as I creep across them’…

VicH25 427x320

…But all is OK of course and I reach the other side safely as I have done for the last few weeks’…

VicH35 427x320

…’Back in the North Island I get behind this little Japanese ute (pick-up truck to you guys), whose owner obviously makes his money doing jobs that no one else wants to do’.

TheNose100 was in Mason, Ohio and ‘waiting for customer to have room. Would be next to the other tanker if they did’…

Darkstaff started the week well and was looking at ‘ships docked on the Cooper River in Charleston, South Carolina – Thought I’d play with some desaturation on this one’…

…Then he was  at the ‘crossroads of I-20 (which I was on) and I-35W in Texas’…

But by the time he reached Weatherford, Texas he was ‘really getting tired of snow and ice’.

And this is ‘the reason I’m still sitting in Texas’ – He’s been there four days now, so we hope he’ll be on the move again soon.

Still in Texas but with no snow, Amishtrucker sent this View of a ‘cold morning in South Texas but roads are clear and dry. This is on the 59 NB service road, Edna’.

Finally with Texas in his name, but actually in Connecticut, Texas Trucker sent this ‘view from the cab on a snow day’.
