Tachoblog’s View From The Cab – 21.8.09
Tachoblog may have been a bit quiet for the last couple of days, but we’re not going to deprive you of View From The Cab, so let’s get stuck in straightaway.
Darkstaff was on I-26 in North Carolina and sent this View of the early morning sunshine.
Click below for the rest of this week’s Views…
Rainerri1967 has a beautiful, young, female co-driver and they’re in Germany and off to Switzerland.
Surfingtrucker started off on 322 West in his new truck, crossing from from New Jersey into Pennsylvania…
…After a while he’s back eastbound on 322 East in Concordville, Pennsylvania which he notes is Heydriver and Goldie territory!
Heydriver and Goldie can’t have been that far away as they were looking at the ‘tall, tall corn’ by Route 222 in Schofer, Pennsylvania…
…And this is their entertainment for today.
Amishtrucker starts by looking downtown in Port Lavaca, Texas (La vaca: the cow)….
…Then a little later he’s in downtown Bay City, Texas which was named after Bay Prairie which lies between the Colorado River and Caney Creek.
Over in New Zealand, Vic H sent us this View…
…and the following messsage ‘No snow-capped mountains or NZ sunrises this week! This week was my first week back at work after the tour around the UK and I found that the container division of the company I usually drive a wine tanker for had been given a last minute order to transport 150 20ft and 40ft containers from a container depot in South Auckland to the Ports of Auckland Container Terminal, a 53km round trip.
In my absence I had been “volunteered” to help them out, so I found myself this week driving an Iveco Powerstar with a skeletal semi-trailer along one of the Auckland motorways all week. I had already been working about 4 hours when this photo was taken, it was about 7.30am yesterday as I was heading away from the port and shows all the poor unfortunate commuters heading in to the city centre ready to start work.’ We’re looking forward to next week’s View(s) already Vic!
TheNose100 could see the Columbus, Ohio skyline from I-670 eastbound…
…Then, from I-71 south of Cleveland he noted that ‘Friday wasn’t a good day for these people’. Looking at the View, nobody appears to be hurt or worse, so Tachoblog is happy to show it. If anyone knows that somebody did get hurt, then please let Tachoblog know and we’ll remove this View.
And that is, as they say, your lot for this week. Tachoblog’s thanks to all that sent in their Views. More next week!
