Tachoblog’s View From The Cab – 21.1.11
Here we are at the end of another week so it must be time for View From The Cab.
Just in case you missed it, here’s where you can see last week’s all-Amercian post. But enough of the past posts, let’s get stuck into this week’s collection.
We begin in New Zealand and join Vic H as he was ‘heading south’…

…’Down State Highway 1′…

…’On the way to Timaru in the South Island’…

Now click below for more from Vic H and the Tachoblog Tribe…
…’The last photo was taken as I pulled into a truck stop in Christchurch to refuel where I saw this 1979 International 3070 parked up for the night. This model will probably not be familiar to the North American members of the tribe as it is Australian designed and built and has the big Cummins 903 V8 engine.’

Over to America now where Emailokc welcomed us to Alabama…

…And then Georgia. He says, ‘yes that is snow. Al Gore lied! ‘.

Now it’s over to Heydriver (currently without Goldie) who, Tachoblog is pleased to report, is now back home again following his heart operation. He’s called this picture ‘Into Spring’ and says that he’s been ‘playing with some graphics/photography tools. A found memory and a dream of rolling north on US Rte 15 into spring. Just messing around while I heal. Thanks for all who’ve commented and posted their thoughts and prayers. I’m healing and going through the things that we must do. More to come.’

Down to Texas now which means we must be catching up with Amishtrucker. He tells us that there was ‘nice afternoon weather and traffic on HWY 77 looking at Odom, Texas straight ahead. I could live this all year’.

Meanwhile Darkstaff sent this View of ‘sunrise over Nickajack Lake’. Tachoblog (after some googling) believes this is in Tennessee…

…Here he’s enjoing no snow and a sunny 70° day rolling on I-10 in Florida. He sums it up in one word – ‘Gorgeous!’

TheNose100 was ‘glad to be going East Bound on I-90 this Mornin. Euclid, Ohio’…

…This is ‘Lake Erie, slightly frosty headed EB Rte 5 Sheridan, New York’…

…And this is Lake Erie, now with a ‘frosty shore line’.

Finally we join SurfingTrucker Westbound on I – 290 entering Worcester, Massachusetts. Even after doing VFTC for so long, Tachoblog still has to look up how to spell Massachusetts…

…This is the plough / ‘plow guy at work as I get unloaded at Polar Beverage in Worcester’.

And that’s your lot for this week. If you’d like to join in with View From The Cab then you’ll be most welcome. All you have to do is email your Views to vftc@tachoblog.com or send a tweet starting #vftc to @tachoblog, or post them on Tachoblog’s Facebook Wall. Don’t forget to include a line or two of text that says, if nothing else, where the picture was taken.
Tachoblog’s thanks to the Tachoblog Tribe for taking the time to take and send us their Views. We’re very grateful – after all, without the pictures, this would be a very dull post.
