Tachoblog’s View From The Cab – 14.8.09
Yes, it’s the Friday post that you’ve all been waiting for, this week’s View From The Cab.
This week we have, as always, a fine selecttion of Views sent in by the Tachoblog Tribe and we’re pleased to say that a couple of Tribesmen that we haven’t heard from for a few weeks are back in the saddle.
So let’s get started and where better to start than Singen am Hegau in Germany with Rainerri1967 who wished us a good morning and was pleased that he was near home.
Click below for Views from America, Australia, Canada and England…
Over to America and Amishtrucker was crossing the San Antonio River near Goliad, Texas on Highway 77A/183…
…A few miles later he was crossing the Guadalupe River on the old bridge near Cuero, Texas and wondering how many more years it still will be in service.
Now our first welcome back goes to Vic H from New Zealand who, as his Views show, has been away on holiday here in the UK. Vic says that he ‘didn’t do much lorry driving but here is a view OF the cab of the one lorry I got a chance to drive [You can hear more about the Guy Big J that Vic's driving in Vic, Richard And Guy On Tachoblog]…
…We were following this vehicle on one of the narrower roads on the Isle of Skye and wondered what would happen if someone came the other way…
…No drama, though, as if by magic a passing place appeared just at the right time…
…Same scenario in Whitby, in Yorkshire, only this time there were no passing places! When 2 trucks appeared coming towards us it was a matter of tossing up to see who had to do all the reversing.’
Now we greet a new Tribesman, protruckR who sent us this View from Langley, British Columbia, Canada where he was east bound on Highway One heading out of Vancouver.
Drivergeoff was about to leave Harrisburg in Pennsylvania.
With the second of our welcome backs and for our final View we head to London Bridge near Sandstone in Western Australia to catch up with TwoCrowsDown.
