Here we are again with another View From The Cab.  Is it just Tachoblog, or are the weeks passing by more quickly the closer we’re getting to Christmas?

We start this week in Germany with a View that Tachoblog really likes from Rainerri1967.  He sent this from From Freiburg im Breisgau in Baden-Württemberg.  He says that he’s driving home early for the weekend.

TheNose100 has been having some ‘fun’ with the snow in Lancaster, New York.  The keen eyed amongst you will notice that he ‘Recently did a View from here, less the snow’. With a shameless plug for FrostyFenders (and why not!), he points out that his is ‘just dirty, not very frosty’. To find out more about Frosty Fenders either use the previous link, or you can read Frosty Fenders – Get In On The Action Says Tachoblog

…He continues (after apologising for the low-quality shots from his mobile – it doesn’t like reduced light he says) with his Views with this from the Cleveland, Ohio area where ‘there was 3-6 inches of snow during ‘rush’ hour’…

…’The last 15 miles took TheNose100 2 hours’  But he was lucky!  TheNose100 says that it ‘took another driver 5 hours to go 15 miles!’

Heydriver and Goldie sent us this View of ‘a new day on the Millard Tidings Bridge over the Susquehanna River’ as they were heading north on I-95 in Maryland.

Now we leap to New Zealand to catch up with Vic H who had ‘another trip down to the South Island this week, which means going through the central North Island desert on a piece of State Highway 1 known, surprisingly, as the Desert Road.  This piece of road in the first photo is known as The Wall, where I was stopped by a lollipop man at some road works – notice the old R-model Mack coming up the hill towards me’…

…’Up on the desert proper, where nothing grows except tussock, I had to drive through this dust storm; once in it I could hardly see the road in front of the truck and I was down to walking pace’…

VicH23 427x320

…’At the southern end the road winds down to the town of Waiouru and things start to grow again, green grass’…

VicH33 427x320

…’wild lupins’…

…’and pine trees’.

Now we cross to Memphis, Tennessee  from where Darkstaff sent this View of The Pyramid Convention Center…

…Moving to West Memphis, Arkansas [Tachoblog's confused about all these Memphisees (is that the plural of Memphis?] he also shows us ‘one of 5 terminals our company runs’.

And that’s it for this week’s View From The Cab.  Tachoblog’s thanks to all the Tachoblog Tribe that sent in their Views.  Don’t forget that if you’d like to join in next time then you’ll be most welcome.  All you have to do is email your Views to vftc@tachoblog.com or send a tweet starting #vftc to @tachoblog, or post them on Tachoblog’s Facebook Wall. Don’t forget to include a line or two of text that says, if nothing else, where the picture was taken.
