Tachoblog’s View From The Cab – 5.4.12
As it’s the Easter weekend Tachoblog is a day early with the look through the Tachoblog Tribe’s windscreens that is View From The Cab.
Last week’s post – like the one from the week before – was one of our best ever View From The Cab posts. And this week looks like making it three out of three too.
So let’s hot foot it to New Zealand and catch up with Vic H who has sent ‘a few photos taken in the space of a couple of hours near Gisborne on the east coast of the North Island.
‘Firstly, a very common sign here warning of steep downhills ahead’…
…’And a bit more unusual one; it’s not that the goats are all that ferocious, just that there are a lot of them and fences mean nothing to them’…
Now click below for more from Vic H and the rest of this week’s View From The Cab…
…’Then another common sign, falling rocks for the next 70km’…
…In his final View From The Cab you can see some of the result of these falling rocks. ‘A small portion of a massive slip in the Waioeka Gorge where about 100,000 cubic metres of rock fell down. The original road is buried under this heap along with a couple of big diggers so they have made a temporary road around the slip’.

Billybigrig is in Spain. On the A2 near llieda…

…Casteldefells beach, Barcelona…
…And here he is ‘bypassing the Col de Bruc tunnel going over top’ His truck and load are too wide and high for tunnel which is near Iguelada…
A quick trip to America now where Darkstaff was, ‘driving along the Susquehanna River across from Sunbury, Pennsylvania. Teams of rowers are here almost every morning. For once, I actually stopped my rig to get a shot. This is it’.
RandyNose says ‘the sign says it’s Northern Ohio Food Terminal. I Pass this place up on the way to work each morning. – I’m still getting used to the new job. Seems to be going well’. Tachoblog’s please to hear that!
We close View From The Cab in Ireland where Bigrig480 spotted this ‘old Scanny heading for the grave!’…
…This is the ‘Killarney to Cork road through the mountains’…
…Another road. This time the one between Mitchelstown and Limerick. It is, he tells us, ‘a great drive in an empty tanker!’.
…And our final View From The Cab is Tivoli Docks in Cork City.
Our thanks to the Tachoblog Tribe for sending in their Views. Wonder if we can have an even better post next week?
Would you like to be part of that – or any other View From The Cab? If you’re a driver then you’re welcome to join in.
All you have to do is is email your View(s) to vftc@tachoblog.com or send a tweet starting #vftc to @tachoblog, or post them on Tachoblog’s Facebook Wall. Please remember include a line or two of text that says, if nothing else, where the picture was taken.

Whoa!. Same photo twice in the views of Spain, pity, would have liked to have seen the missing one.
Sad to see the Scania going to that truck stop in the sky.
