Tachoblog’s View From The Cab – 22.7.11
It’s Friday so it must be View From The Cab (our look through the windscreens of the Tachoblog Tribe) day.
Once again the Tachoblog Tribe have been kind enough to send in their Views and for that Tachoblog is, as ever, very grateful.
We begin this week’s View From The Cab by joining Heydriver and Goldie who were ‘passing Into the Sun on US I-81 N in Pennsylvania, North of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania’.
Heydriver took this sunrise shot with his HTC Incredible and says he ‘did some post production to bring out the contrast a bit.
‘Hope you enjoy. I’ve love sunrise and sunset
‘You know that interesting things happen at borders. How about interesting things at the Border of night and day?’
Now click below for the rest of this week’s View From The Cab…
Staying in America, AZVern was at the ‘San Xavier Mission, San Xavier Indian Reservation, MM 92, Arizona I-19′…
…His next View From The Cab was of the ‘old smoke stack in Mayer’…
…’Then one from ‘Route 66 in Williams, Arizona’…
…And finally some ‘road paving from I-17 Southbound, Arizona at MM 320′.
RandyNose ‘wished this tent meant that there’s hot dogs and snow cones to eat, but no. Just tools and dirt in Springfield, Ohio’.
Al_Goodhall was ‘Heading down to Lake Superior from the top of the hill in Duluth, Minnesota’…
…’Crossing the bridge from Duluth to Superior, Wisconsin’…
…His last View From The Cab was takem on a ‘pretty drive through Lake of the Woods, Ontario. Kenora to Fort Frances’.
The last few View From The Cab posts have had something missing. That something was somone called Darkstaff but he’s back this week. Like Heydriver he’s sent a View of a sunrise, but this one is from ‘the border of Texas and Louisiana this morning, with some interesting clouds’.
We take a quick trip to England now and head to Milton Keynes (home of Mercedes-Benz UK) from where RobHalloway sent us this View From The, err, Desk. This is Blinky (so called because of its dead-eyed stare). Rob tells us that if you want your own Blinky, you can get one from the Mercedes-Benz shop.
Back to the USA for our final View From The Cab for this week. It’s time to catch up with Amishtrucker who was ‘southbound on TX 60 in the farm country just north of Bay City, Texas.’
That’s all from View From The Cab for this week.
Before Tachoblog signs off, we’d like to remind you that you’re more than welcome to join the Tachoblog Tribe and with VFTC if you’d like too. All you have to do is email your Views to vftc@tachoblog.com or send a tweet starting #vftc to @tachoblog, or post them on Tachoblog’s Facebook Wall. Please remember include a line or two of text that says, if nothing else, where the picture was taken.
Also, can Tachoblog remind you about Summer Trucking, our new photographic competition. There are some great prizes up for grabs and if you like View From The Cab but don’t drive a truck, you can still enter Summer Trucking!
