Tachoblog received an email this morning that reminded us that the Gaydon Classic and Vintage Commercial Show can’t be far away.  And we were right, it isn’t as it all takes place at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon this weekend (13 – 14 June).

This is the second Classic and Vintage Commercial Show to be held at Gaydon in conjunction with Kelsey Publishing and the 10th year that a show displaying Classic Commercials has taken place at the Heritage Motor Centre.

The success of last year’s show was down to all who attended and supported the show, despite the high cost of fuel, and saw over 350 classic commercial vehicles on display.  Current interest in the 2009 show indicates in excess of 425 vehicles are planning to attend ranging from Mini Vans through to the largest Scammell’s manufactured with plenty of Fords, Austins and Morrises in between.

There’s also an  indoor model show having more than 160 tables of models displayed, whether they are kit built or scratch built in many different scales and there is a vast array of working radio control models both inside and outside the museum building.

If you are a commercial vehicle enthusiast then this, the largest classic commercial show in Europe, is the major show of the year for you to attend. We recommend a day and a half to walk around the show and see everything.

So, with your appetite fully whetted, Tachoblog recommends you head to the Heritage Motor Centre website for all the details you’ll need.
