Two Elephants In A Ford Transit Van – Honest Says Tachoblog

How do you get two elephants into a Ford Transit?  Sounds like some kind of childish joke doesn’t it, but it’s for real as you can see in this picture.

So what’s this all about then?

Well as you may already know, 2011 is the centenary of Ford of Britain.

To mark and celebrate the occasion, the company is exploring its photo archive to reveal rarely seen images like this one.

This picture comes from 1965 (the year the Ford Transit was launched) and shows handlers at Regents Park Zoo transport two baby elephants.

Over the decades Ford Transits have also been used as giant drink cans, space-age vehicles and monster trucks.

So now you know how to get two elephants in a Ford Transit van don’t you!
