Here in the UK the drivers’ daily walk round check is an essential inspection.

Operators & drivers of vehicles have a legal responsibility to ensure that the vehicles they use are kept in a safe and roadworthy condition at all times.

Despite this, many people don’t seem to know what the daily walk round check should, err, check.  And many are still not doing them properly.

Well not from now!

Thanks to Steve Williams – the oracle of all things compliance – from TruckUK, Tachoblog can bring you two videos that show you exactly what to do.

First off, here’s the daily walk round  check.

Now click below for the second part of the walk round check, the in cab check…

As you’ll have seen, this check is based on a 7.5 tonne truck with an analogue tachograph.

The principle remains the same for other vehicle types of course.

Anyway, here’s the in cab check.

And if you have any complicance queries, then Tachoblog heartily recommends that you use the TruckUK link above and get holf of Steve!
